The present baptismal font in this church is modern, located in the chancel. There is a large fragment of an old font standing outside the church; it consists of a thick roughly cylindrical lower base and a fragment of the corresponding basin; from the shape of the remaining fragment, the latter would have been round and quite possibly devoid of ornament; the fragment suggests a deep and broad inner well. The fragment is thought to be the remains of the font of the original church here, ca. 1215.
