Baptismal font of sandstone; consists of an octafoiled basin decorated with Ogee arch-heads with crocketed pinnacles and a busy tracery made of floral, foliage and fruit motifs all around the basin, some of them gilded; the concave underbowl chamfer has a combination of Gothic motifs framed in mouldings and piping; there is a star-shaped centre-ring moulding; the octagonal base alternates four rather simian-looking sedente lions with four motifs in a tracery background. There are remains of two metal staples in the upper rim, probably remains of the anchoring for an earlier font cover. Originally the font is reported as having been located at the west end of the south aisle, but was moved to the present location by at the east end of the nave in 1978.
