The entry for this church in Fernández Mateo refers to the original Romanesque church here, of which some remains are observed on the north side, while the rest of the building is 16th or 17th-century; also of the old church, perhaps, is a stone now used as support of the parrochial banner; it appears to be a former capital with large crudely rendered acanthus leaves on the sides; its measurements are given as 40 x 40 cm by side, and 28 cm in height. [NB: we have no information on the font of the original Romanesque church here].
