Noted and illustrated in Montelius & Brusewitz (1878). Attributed to "dopfuntsmästaren Thorkillus" in Hallbäck (1961). Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [930513F3] as a baptismal font in the "Thorkillusgruppen" dated ca. 1200; the basin is identified as soapstone, the stem and lower base as limestone and of a later date. Baptismal font of stone, consisting of a cylindrical basin with a chamfered underbowl, both of which are decorated with a complex acanthus (?) vine that includes at least one human face in it; the centre ring moulding is part of the basin block; the pedestal base is circular, slightly splaying out, made of a different type of stone; there are two tiny crosses at the top and bottom of the stem; the lower base is also circular.
