Church Notes: a wooden church here recorded by 1273; early-14thC brick church; early15thC west tower destroyed by fire in 1699 and re-built in 19thC
The present font, located at the east end of the nave, at the foot of the presbitery, is modern; it consists of an octagonal basin with decorated sides, raised on an octagonal pedestal base of two volumes, and a lower base, also octagonal. [NB: we have no information on the font of the original church here]
