Scene Description: capital aptly described by Antonio Garcia-Omedes [www.arquivoltas.com/12-Leon/01-SanPedroDuenas03.htm] [accessed 1 July 2016] : "En su cesta hallamos a siete personas con hábito portando rollos y alzando en ocasiones una de sus manos. Probablemente sea una representación de las monjas de esta comunidad. Sobre ellas un ave en cada cara, con las alas desplegadas la de la central. Todo ello en un tono desmañado, torpe y "naif", que contrasta de modo notable con el resto de la escultura del templo. Me recuerda vivamente a un capitel del interior de la ermita de San Román en la Puebla de Castro en Huesca."

Church Notes: Benedictine convent ["domnas Sancti Facundi"] church originally 10thC but present church is 12thC "románico-mudéjar"; much restored in the 16thC
Baptismal font being a single basin with dramatically tapering sides; totally plain. There are metal staples at opposite sides in the upper rim; the inner unlined well of the font is partitioned by a vertical wall; the partition is not original, but a much later modification.
