Sunken font of the 5th century baptistery excavated in the abbey of Saint-Maurice.
A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 1 November 2025) included Louis Blondel's article Le baptistère et les anciens édifices conventuels de l’Abbaye d’Agaune (1949) - In: Vallesia vol. 4 (1949) p. 15-28 [N-268_1949_03_00.pdf] [accessed 9 March 2026], that reports the discovery of a sunken baptismal font, slightly oval in shape (148 x 156 cm) and about 65 cm in depth; the font has access has two accesses, north and south, and has a drain hole at the bottom.
