The present baptismal font is made of a dark limestone (?) and consists of an octagonal basin with a rounded underbowl decorated with ribbed pattern; raised on a round baluster-shaped pedestal base decorated with foliage. The cover is of the rim-buffet type, of two octagonal volumes; the lower volume has painted panels between ornate columns with capitals and bases, the cornices moulded; the upper volume is openwork, with the same arrangement of columns and cornices as below, with a Baptism of Christ scene inside; the finial is a gilded group of a pelican feeding its young from the blood of its breast; the whole resembles marble work but it is probably painted wood.
