The wooden cover is of the rim-buffet type, with three octagonal volumes: the bottom one is the largest and is oddly rounded, almost barrel-shaped, with doors at the front to provide access to the water inside the font; the next volume up has columns at the angles and, in the front panel, the statue of a bleeding martyr or saint [Sebastian? Job?]; above it, a cherub's head, also in the front panel; the third volume is a low octagonal dome; foliated Latin-cross finial.
