Church Notes: present church is early-16thC, built on the site of a 11thC church of Lombardic type
Baptismal font of dark limestone or marble consisting of a round basin with an octagonal upper rim, decorated with ball-in-socket and ribbed patter all around; raised on a baluster-shaped stem and a round moulded lower base; the stem has fluting, foliage and bead motifs on it. The font cover is a grand painted and gilded Baroque affair in three levels plus finial; rim-buffet type, with doors opening for access to the water inside.
