World War I bombardments totally destroyed this church in 1917, but the font of the original 13th-century church survived; the font consists of a round basin with tapering sides decorated with deeply carved foliage motifs, and a thin roll moulding at the lower end; the base has two volumes of different colour stones and may not be the original, at least not the middle section; all round and moulded. The woden cover is flat, octagonal and plain; appears modern. There is also an old wall-mounted holy-water stoup in the new church; it is decorated with oak leaves on the sides, and vine leaves and grapes below; white and red traces of paint on it, but probably modern paint. This is probably the font listed under 'Filain' in Palissy [ref.: PM02000493] as 13th-century.
