Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM02001189] as a stone baptismal font consisting of a roughly hemispherical basin raised on four columns ["Fonts baptismaux [...] Pierre [...] Cuve hémisphérique entourée de quatre colonnettes [...] 13e siècle"]. The entry for this church in Wikipedia [https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Église_Notre-Dame_de_Septvaux] [accessed 4 September 2023] reports a baptismal font of the 12th century located in the south aisle ["des fonts baptismaux remarquables datant du XIIe siècle se situent dans le collatéral Sud"]. The top of the basin is square, with a hemispherical shape below, the underbowl decorated with foliage, though at least one of the sides shows a human face, head or mask; the base consists of a broad central shaft, and four outer colonnettes, all five with simple moulded capitals and bases. [NB: our only source for this font is the pre-WWI drawing in the Aisne Archives [cf. ImagesArea]; the font may have been destroyed when the church itself was left in ruins in WWI [cf. ImagesArea]].
