Stone baptismal font of the 12th century consisting of a square basin with a rounded underbowl, raised on a round pedestal base and a square lower base. Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM02001304]: " fonts baptismaux [...] Cuve carrée à fond hémisphérique portée sur un fût monocylindrique qui repose sur un socle carré. [...] 12e siècle". The dictionary of Melleville (1857, vol. 2: 238) informs that it used to be a parish dedicated to St-Eloi, and belonged to the abbey of St-Jean de Laon. [NB: other than the Palissy listing we have not been able to locate any current sources on this font].
