Church Notes: Noted in Visites Aquitaine [http://visites.aquitaine.fr/eglise-saint-martin-3455] [accessed 24 December 2013]: "L’édifice est percé d’une allée latérale dès sa construction au XIIIe siècle. Deux murs, ceux du Nord et du Sud, datent également de cette période. Au XVIe siècle, de grands travaux sont entrepris. Ainsi, le clocher est transformé en tour. Les chapelles latérales, ainsi qu’un chevet polygonal viennent agrandir l’église en 1542. [...] Un tremblement de terre vient endommager l’édifice en 1759 [...] En 1791, la foudre détruit en partie le clocher".

Baptismal font consisting of a rectangular moulded basin decorated with a numver of statuettes, symbols inscribed in radiant suns and chrub heads on the sides, raised on four substantial shafts with moulded capitals and bases; the two from columns end in square lower bases, while the two at the back have round lower bases. Noted and illustrated in Visites Aquitaine [http://visites.aquitaine.fr/fonts-baptismaux-de-l-eglise-saint-martin-5704] [accessed 24 December 2013]: "Ces fonts baptismaux de 1637 sont remarquablement conservés [...] ils présentent un riche décor sculpté représentant des angelots, le Christ avec l’agneau pascal et l’étoile de David."
