Baptismal font consisting of a round basin with narrow sides but a tall underbowl chamfer, raised on a square pedestal base; the partial chamfering of the angles of the base is the only decoration on this font. Round wooden cover, almost flat, with turned knob handle. Noted and illustrated in Visites Aquitaine [http://visites.aquitaine.fr/fonts-baptismaux-de-l-eglise-saint-barthelemy-de-cauna] [accessd 8 December 2013]: "Une grande cuve circulaire à bords droits repose sur un pied court, de forme rectangulaire. Aucun ornement gravé, sculpté ou mouluré ne vient compenser cette volontaire sobriété. La cuve est fermée par un couvercle plat doté d’une prise tournée."
