Font Notes:
Baptismal font consisting of a round tapering basin, the sides decorated with vertical grooves all around, a moulding at the upper rim, and a set of scallop-like indentations resembling an arcade on the lower end; a very faint partial inscription remains [cf. infra]; on a very short cylindrical stem, and a round-to-square lower base. Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM24000104]: "fonts baptismaux [...] calcaire [...] Pied mouluré d'un boudin torique, socle quadrangulaire mouluré en cavet renversé, cuve circulaire à panneaux alternativement en creux et en saillie [...] Cuve baptismale datant du 13e siècle (Secret Jean, "Eglises en Dordogne de l'ancien diocèse de Cahors", Bulletin de la Société Historique et Archéologique du Périgord, 1949, tome 76) ; l'inscription sur la cuve, dont on ne discerne plus que les 2 premières lettres, est peut-être 'IOHANNES'".
