The ruins of the chapel of Villemartin are still in fair shape, the walls standing and the west side is whole; the interior is empty except for a font or stoup located in the nave, just inside the barred south doorway. Bernard Rousset [www.templiers.org/villemartin.php] [accessed 23 November 2013] notes that Villemartin, where this chapel of the Knights Hospitaler was located, was a parish in the old diocese of Bazas, paroisse du diocèse de Bazas, and reports the baptismal font as having being found during the restoration and returned to its original location in the northwest corner of the nave [="Les fonts baptismaux ont été retrouvés et installés à leur emplacement d’origine, dans l’angle nord-ouest."] The font appears to consist of a plain round tapering basin raised on a square pedestal with partially chamfered angles, on and octagonal plinth.
