Baptismal font consisting of an octagonal basin with a rounded underbowl, raised on an octagonal rounded stem and an octagonal graded lower base; the upper rim of the basin has a pronounced flat moulding with a wide shallow scotia below, both spaces bearing an inscription from Matthew's Gospel [19:14?]; each of the rounded sides of the underbowl has a foliated background with a cherub's head in it; the whole basin is painted; the rounded octagonal stem beras an incised inscription with the date of the font: "ANNO-159[?]"; the moulded octagonal lower base splays out. There is no obvious evidence in the upper rim of cover hardware, ao it may have had a cover that was simply placed on it, without anchoring hardware.
