The Kirchengemeinden Großbeeren... [www.ev-kirche-grossbeeren.de/index.php?idcatside=40][accessed 8 November 2013] informs: "Der Taufstein. Baptismal font probably based on a drawing by Karl Friedrich Schinkel (1781-1841), who designed the church itself; the font consists of a round tapering basin decorated with a stylised vine with an inscription below, raised on a round central shaft and four standing angels with their hands together in prayer at 90-degree angles; the lower base is circular with round protruding bases for the four angels. The font is made of painted and gilded oak, except for the four angels, which are bronze re-castings of 1930, and the basin insert, which appears to be made of brass and bears an inscription as well.
