Font Notes:
As Blomefield (1805-1810) the Domesday survey shows "Gloresthorp [...] the capital manor, and the other Bawsey, a beruite to it", but the only record of a church here is St. James, the parish church of Bawsey, now in ruins [cf. Index entry for Bawsey]. Now nothing remains of Bawsey village, except the ruins of St. James', and Glosthorpe Manor is sold by bits and pieces as real estate property. [NB: was there a church in the old manor? a font?]
