The present baptismal font is a bronze casting of the statue of an angel holding a large shell as basin, a 1864 copy of the original 1823 font cast by Bertel Thorvaldsen for the cathedral [Vor Frue Kirke] of Copenhagen [cf. Index entry for Kobenhavn No. 5]. The font was a gift of Gräfin zu Lynar (born von der Marwitz), probably made in the workshop of Prussian sculptor Christian Daniel Rauch (1777-1857)
