Church Notes: chapel listed in Mérimée [ref.: IA22010968]:"la chapelle de la Sainte-Trinité de Perros-Hamon est un édifice de la fin du 17ème siècle (1683 et 1690, dates portées) remanié à deux reprises au cours du 18ème siècle (1728 et 1770, dates portées). Elle est située à l'emplacement d'une chapelle figurant dès 1198 dans une bulle de confirmation des biens de l'abbaye de Saint-Riom. Elle fut cédée en 1202 à l'abbaye de Beauport et en devint prieuré-cure jusqu'à la Révolution. La croix du placître pourrait également dater de la fin du 17ème siècle."

Very large, irregular and roughly oval granite holy-water stoup located just east of the doorway, inside the chapel; its size -120 cm long- is totally out of proportion with the size of the building and the usual design of wall-mounted stoups, giving the impression that it may have had a former use and was re-used when the chapel was re-built.
