The present font is a composite one, consisting of a plain octagonal basin with a plain chamfer, raised on an octagonal pedestal base made up of small blocks cemented together; on a two-step plinth. The basin appears to have been re-cut from the original, said to be 14th-century. The base is totally modern. The wooden font cover, octagonal with a Latin-cross finial, is also modern. The font is located now [2008] by the south side of the chancel arch, apparently moved there when work was done to create a room in the south aisle.
