Font Notes:
Baptismal font consisting of a heptagonal nasin with curved underbowl; the sides are decorated with lozenges on some sides, one side containg a long inscription in German with the date 1602 [transcription not available]; the underbowl has angels holding objects [one of the angels appears to hold a hammer and nails -- Instruments of the Passion?], and there are buttress-like demi-figures at the angles; there are seven (?) figures seated around the base, the names of seven (?) prophets: Ezekiel, Amos, Joel, etc., painted above them. [cf. Index entry for Erfurdt No. 5 for a similar but not identical font at Kaufmannskirche Erfurt]
