Baptismal font consisting of a roughly cylindrical basin decorated with leaf motifs at the front and sides; the one at the front frames the space where the cover lock is located, a square frame with a leafy shape below and a prolongation as piping all the way down the base; the motif on the right side of the basin appears more frilly than leafy; the one on the left looks like a tree-of-life symbol with curled branches; the base is polygonal with piping at regular intervals; the back of the font is against the wall of the niche in which the font is located; the back is hidden under the font cover, which is secured to the back wall, therefore it is very difficult to tell whether the back of the font is free-standing or partly embedded in the back wall. The cover itself is hinged at the back, and has large nails driven upwards to impede the top being used as a seat. The location and type of locking mechanism for the cover is characteristic of this area of the Pyrenees, bot north and south. [NB: we have no information on the original 11th-century church here].
