The baptismal font here consists of a roughly hemispherical basin decorated with a roll moulding at the upper rim, a zig-zag pattern around its middle, and stylised ribbed pattern on the underbowl; raised on a round pedestal base and a square lower base or plinth. According to El Norte de Castilla [www.elnortedecastilla.es/v/20120111/valladolid/iglesia-santiago-apostol-cigales-20120111.html] [accessed 25 August 2013] the baptismal font here was re-set to its original location recently [January 2012] on a rather garish illuminated setting.
