The present font, and octagonal decorated basin on a similarly shaped pedestal base is modern, probably early-19th century. across from this modern font, on the opposite (south) side of the presbitery, is an old stone object serving as base yo a vase of flowers; the object is conical in shape, truncated at the top and with a large roll moulding at the bottom; there are a few roundels carved on the sides. We have not neem able to examine it in person, but it resembles closely the base of a baptismal font of the Gothic period, much like those made on Gotland (Sweden) for export across the Baltic.
