Curzon (1885) reports a baptismal font consisting of a cast metal holy-water stoup of the 16th century, raised on an ancient capital originally from the nave of the original church here. Roman (1888) has: "Bénitier en fonte du xvi siècle décoré de clefs sur un chapiteau roman." Listed in and illustrated in Palissy [ref.: PM58000552]: " Bénitier en fonte sur chapiteau de pierre. [...] Bénitier du 16e siècle. Chapiteau du 12e siècle. The cast metal stoup is bucket shaped, with ear-shaped handles at opposite sides; it is decorated with a thin moulding at the upper rim and another such around its midle, as well as a roll moulding at the bottom; there are a few symbols on the sides (cross, key-like). The base is an upturned stone capital, square-to-round in shape, decorated with a pattern of stylised foliage all over.
