Blomefield (1805-1810) notes that "In 1351, Sir Hamon de Felton presented to the rectory of this church, as lord", and names "Thomas" as first recorded rector here, in 1278. The name of the rector named by Sir Hamon in 1351 was Thomas Blower. Under the entry for rector in 1727, Blomefield (ibid.) writes: "George Jacomb, on the death of John Scot, by Anthony Hamond, Esq. (There was no church here in 1633.)" White's Gazetteer of 1845 notes; "The Church was desecrated many years ago, and is now a barn." Kelly's Directory of 1883 reports: "The church has long since fallen into ruins; the remains now form a part of some farm buildings. The living is a sinecure rectory, yearly value about £170 in the gift of trustees". [NB: it now forms a parish with Kettlestone]
