L'église Saint-Martin actuelle, la quatrième de ce nom à Périgueux, a été construite en dur entre 1870 et 1875, sur les plans de l'architecte Antoine Lambert, approuvés par Paul Abadie." Font Notes:
Baptismal font adorned with four putto (?) heads at 90-degree angles on the basin sides, linked by a garland. There is also a holy-water stoup consisting of a semi-circular basin decorated with ribbed pattern below a moulded upper rim, on a slender round shaft, round lower base and square plinth. Dome metal cover on it. Both items are probably of the date of the church itself, ca. 1870.
