This vessel wall-mounted inside the south porch of the church is now used as a holy-water stoup, but bears several characteristics of a baptismal font, specially the stumps on the underbowl, originally made to serve as capitals to the colonnettes of the base, and the central drain in the inner well; the object is a polygonal basin partly embeded in the wall, either hexagonal or polygonal, the visible sides decorated with a single pointed arch-head on each. The basin is much earlier than the church itself, and may have belonged to an earlier church here; the two additional stoups inside the church appear to be of an earlier date than the present church itself. [cf. Index entry for Plehedel No. 1 for a double-font in this church]. There are several rural chapels in this area, as noted in Info Bretagne: "la chapelle Saint-Samson du Roscoat (XVème siècle).
