Font Notes:
The church here is indexed in Mérimée [ref.: PA00082333] as originally 12th-century, expanded in the 16th- and 17th-century. The present baptismal font in this church probably dates from the expansion; it is a monolithic font of irregular hexagonal shape, the backk side much broader and attached to the wall of the alcove that serves as baptistery; it is decorated with mouldings on the sides, upper and lower, and has a painted cross on the front. There appear to be remains of paint on the font. The metal cover is round, plain and flat, with a slender finial that ends in a tiny Latin cross. [NB: we have no information on the font of the original 12th-century church here].
