Baptismal font consisting of a hemispherical basin raised on a round pedestal base and a quadrangular lower base; all plain. The lower base is partly buried into the later flooring. The wooden font cover consists of a frame that secures to the upper rim of the basin, a hinged portion of the top opening to give access to the basin interior. The following was communicated to BSI from a local source: "According to the DGEMN Boletim nr. 85 the font was put back near the main portal ('Arranjo e instalação do baptistério junto da entrada principal'), but it is now in front of one of the chapels." -- it makes sense, as the present location would not the original].
