Baptismal font noted and illustrated in Harry C. Suchland's Alte Kirchen in Berlin (Berlin: Wichern Verlag, 2nd edition, 1986). Baptismal font made of bronze, located to the left of the choir; it consists of a bucket-shaped basin decorated with two bands of tiny figures all around; above, below the rim, a Gothic-miniscule lettering inscription with the date 1398; in the centre is a series of figures that are repeated all around; they include a Crucifixion scene with Mary and John, and various unidentified figures that probably stand for the Apostles; below those are more tiny figures similar to the ones above, except for the Crucifixion scene; the basin is raised on four hieratic figures, apparently male, some bearded, some not, each one holding a book and an unidentified object that is missing from some of the figures; the four figures stand on a round-to-octagonal platform that is decorated with tiny carvings (figures, crosses, animals, etc.) The bronze lid or plate is said to have been added in 1839, and is decorated with twelve angels all around, each in its own quadrangular partition.
