The present font in use is modern and located inside the church, at the northwest end of the nave. There are several objects outside the church, near the west entrance, towards the south side; they are locally known as 'tumulos' or stone coffins from the early church here. One of the objects, however, appears to be of a size not suited to a coffin, being roughly square; it has a central drain; it is also of a shape and measurements not unlike some of the quadrangular fonts of the Romanesque period, including one such -though much decorated- at the Colegiata of Leon, Spain [cf. Index entry]; the upper surface of the rim, which ia damaged, is grooved as if to accommodate a cover.
