Font Notes:
Stone baptismal font consisting of a roughly hemispherical basin with a pronounced upper rim moulding, raised on a quadrangular pedestal base; only about half of the basin sides are decorated, with a concave-rib pattern with insert, the back of the basin finished but un-carved; the pedastal base has cartouches on the front and sides, but the back side is rough. The basin well is not lined, and there is no trace of cover hardware on the upper rim or sides. The font may belong to the date of the church, somewhere in the 17th century, or later, and is of type represented in several churches of the city of Salamanca, perhaps the product of a local workshop.
