Noted and illustrated in Avila (2012) as a stone baptismal font of the 17th century; it consists of a roughly hemispherical basin, the sides and underbowl decorated with concave ribbed pattern; raised on a round pedestal base of two volumes, with the same decoration as the basin, and a round-to-square splaying lower base with zig-zag motif on the top. This font, informs Avila (ibid.) was originally at the parish church of Valverde, where the 1719 inventory reports it as a stone font with a wooder cover provided with metal locking hardware; it was moved to El Golfo in 1795 as the former chapel here became a chapel-of-ease to Valverde's church. Avila (ibid.) also informs that the stone holy-water stoup here is probably 19th-century.
