Church Notes: the present church is a 18thC restoration of the church of a convent funded in 1190; donated in 1223 to the Orden de Santiago, and re-donated the nuns of the convent of Santa Ana in 1269; used as a jail, etc., after the Desamortización de Mendizabal (1836)

Baptismal font consisting of a roughly hemispherical basin tapering onto a squat round base; the sides of the basin are decorated with a ribbed pattern of diagonal ribs, with roudn arch-heads atop the ribs; two metal staples at opposite ends in the upper rim to secure the cover; damage to one side probably related to cover hardware. The present cover is flat and round, with a large Latin cross flat on it; modern.
