An intriguing object that resembles a double-basin baptismal font in its construction, but may have been a stoup in its inception. It consists of an octagonal basin with tapering sides decorated with mouldings and foliage (oak?, fig?), raised on an octagonal stem decorated with a wrap-around grape vine, with patterned mouldings at both ends, and a graded lower base. There is a constructional secondary basin shaped like a shell. There is evidence of metal anchorage for an old cover at the upper side of the basin. The drainage system is also intriguing, as it connects the main basin across to the auxiliary basin. The whole is made of granite.
