The present baptismal font here consists of a round shallow basin decorated with a thick moulding at the upper rim, a band of foliage motifs below, another band of square motifs, a set of cherub heads, and more leaves down to the underbowl; the underbowl itself has a ribbed pattern; it is raised on a round foliated stem with a set of inscriptions: at the top is the date 1628, recording the font itself or the date of its donation, and a et of initials below, perhaps those of the donors; the lower base is triangular and awkward-looking, adorned with some animal heads and foliage motifs. On the font is a wooden polygonal rim-buffet cover, its doors opening out to provide access to the interior. The inner well of the basin is rounded but it has a constructional division separating a sector of the interior, probably to contain the holy water for baptisms. Elsewhere in the church interior is a modern font -or large stoup- in reddish marble [NB: we have no information on the font(s) from the medieval church here].
