Noted and illustrated in Hallbäck (1961) as a baptismal font made of soapstone ca. 1200
Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 950517F8] as a baptismal font made of soapstone ca. 1200, the basin decorated with humans, bicorporate mandrakes (?) and lions. The basin is roughly hemispherical and the carvings are in very high-relief; there is a ring moulding at the bottom of the basin, and a very short stem; the base, a separate block of cylindrical shape, matches the stem of the underbowl, and has two large mouldings lower down. There is no cover present. The font was moved to the Statens historiska museum, in Stockholm [inv. nr. 6327]. A replica copy was made for the parish church at the time of its transfer.
