Noted and illustrated in Karlsson (1976) after Appelgren-Kivalo (1910). Baptismal font made of wood, originally from the church in Vesilahti, Pirkanmaa, now [12 August 2012] in the National Museum of Helsinki. The font is probably made of a single piece of wood, but displays three well defined volumes: 1)a cylindrical basin decorated with an interlace between two mouldings, the area below carved into square blocks, and a plain underbowl; 2)a thick centre ring carved with a two-strand braid; 3)a round splaying base, totally plain. The low-dome wooden cover is round and plain, with a tall knotted finial.
