Baptismal font made of sandstone, consisting of an octagonal basin of two volumes, the lower one narrower and bearing the date of 1540 on a side; there is a graded moulding between the two volumes; the octagonal-to-square pedestal base is reported as a replacement [cf. infra]. The octagonal wooden cover is crown-shaped, with scalloped panels and a Latin-cross finial; appears modern. Catalogued and illustrated in Palissy [ref.: PM62000648] and Mémoire [ref.: APMH00078649] [www.culture.gouv.fr/public/mistral/palissy_fr] [accessed 5 August 2012]: "grès [...] 2e quart 16e siècle [...] Le pied a du être refait." The baptismal font survived the destruction of the church in WWI.
