The 1840-1841 session of the Comité historique des arts et monuments, published in the Bulletin Archéologique, vol. 1, pt. 2 (1843: 227) reports on a presentation to the committee by "M. l'abbé Barraud, correspondant à Beauvais [...] M. Barraud se propose d'adresser au comité quelques uns de ces documens qui paraissent intéressans.-- Un dessin représentant les fonts baptismaux de Raray accompagne la notice relative à l'église de cette commune. Ces fonts sont d'une belle exécution et datent de la seconde moitié du treizième siècle". Listed and illustrated in Palissy [ref.: PM60001328]: "Fonts baptismaux [calcaire] datés du 13e siècle [...] La cuve repose sur un socle octogonal. La cuve baptismale possède un bassin octogonal en plomb et un couvercle en plomb [...] La cuve est ornée d'arcs en arc brisé à intrados trilobé reposant sur des colonnes couronnées de chapiteaux à crochets [...] Couvercle refait au 19e siècle. Ragréages au ciment. Eclats à la ceinture."
