Noted in Roger et al. (1844): "Le portail de l'église d'Andéchy [...] rappelle l époque de la Renaissance. [...] On voyait dans l'aile droite une ouverture recouverte aujourd'hui par les fonts et donnant entrée à un vaste souterrain régnant sous l'église sous une partie du village et s'étendant au loin dans la campagne."
