Catalogued and illustrated in Palissy [www.culture.gouv.fr/public/mistral/dapapal_fr?] [accessed 3 August 2012] [ref.: PM60001053]: baptismal font of the 11th century consisting of two joined blocks of limestone, the rectangular basin decorated with two rope mouldings below the upper rim; it shows cement repairs and is covered in a coat whitewash that hides the earlier ochre paint on it; the lead lining is lacking, as is the lower base [="Fonts baptismaux datés du 11e siècle [...] composés de deux blocs de calcaire taillé assemblés et portant un décor réduit à deux cordons striés placés sur le sommet de la cuve [...] rectangulaire [...] Il manque le piétement, la cuvette en plomb ainsi que le couvercle ; ragréage au ciment ; présence d'un épais badigeon blanc qui recouvre une polychromie ancienne ocre."]. There are two metal staples at oposite ends of the upper rim, part of the anchoring hardware of the font cover. The font cover is not evident in our source and may missing altogether. It is not clear where the two blocks mentioned in Palissy join. There is no lower base and the font rests directly on the ground.
