Ch. Salmon, secrétaire du Congrès scientifique, of Amiens, in the Bulletin monumental, vol. This font is listed in Palissy [ref.: PM80001464] with date in the 13th century. Noted and illustrated in Richesses en Somme [www.richesses-en-somme.com/patrimoine-des-églises/fonts-baptismaux/] [accessed 2 July 2012] as a baptismal font of the 12th century of a design common in this area of the Somme, a rounded basin in a frame-like design formed by a quadrangular upper side and four colonnettes [or clusters of, in some of the other fonts] decorated with leaf capitals and mouled bases; the upper basin sides below the rim are moulded; the large rounded underbowl rests on the lower base, which is quadrangular and plain as is the plinth [NB: the four extensions that now raise the font from the ground are not original]. The design of this font includes a rounded basin in a quadrangular frame formed by four angle colonnettes, with some variants, like the other medieval fonts in the Somme at Bergicourt, Cerisy-Buleux, Faverolles, Gentelles, Neuville-les-Loeuilly, Rouvrel, Wiry au Mont, etc.
