The Victoria County History (Huntingdon, vol. 2, 1932) notes: "The church is not mentioned in the Domesday Survey (1086), but about 1160 a stone church was built here, of which the greater part of the chancel with the chancel arch remains, and the south doorway has been reset in the wall of the south aisle [...] The font has a modern octagonal bowl on an early 16th-century octagonal stem and base."
