FOR ALL DETAILS OF THIS FONT SEE INDEX ENTRY FOR LANGHAM, NORFOLK -- There are two entries for Langham [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://domesdaymap.co.uk/place/TG0041/langham/] [accessed 24 January 2014], one of which includes two churches. The general entry for Langham in Blomefield (1805-1810) notes: "here were two churches, with 16 acres", and his entry for Langham Parva notes: "The Church is a rectory dedicated to St. Mary". White's Directory of 1854 notes: "Langham [...] was formerly in two parishes, called Langham Magna, and Parva ; but the Church of the latter has long been dilapidated, and its rectory consolidated with Cockthorpe and Blakeney." In his entry for Langham's St. Mary and St. Andrew Church, Knott (2004) reports: "The font comes from the lost church of St Mary, Langham Parva. The two parishes were combined, hence the liturgically ignorant modern dedication of this building." [cf. Index entry for Langham, Norfolk]
