Font Notes:
Baptismal font in reddish marble consisting of a wide and shallow round basin with a pronounced moulded upper rim, raised on a round bulbous pedestal base. The copper (?) cover is dome-shaped and has a statue of John the Baptist as finial; the from of the cover appears to be hinged for opening. The present church dates originally from the end of the 16th century, but the font probably belongs to the restoration of the 18th century. [NB: we have no information on the earlier font of this church]
